Estevao Willian has found minutes hard to come by at Chelsea under Xabi Alonso, with former Blues winger Scott Sinclair urging the attacker to seek game time away. The forward is yet to start a Premier League game this season and has played 29 league minutes this season.
Limited minutes this season
Estevao has found minutes hard to come by this season. He was an unused substitute in Saturday’s win over Everton.
He is yet to start a Premier League game this season and has 29 minutes of Premier League football this season.
Scott Sinclair's view
Former Blues winger Scott Sinclair said: "As a young player, all you want to do is play football."
Sinclair added: "Only Estevao can decide what is best for him, but because he is so young, getting consistent game time is essential and having been in the same position, I’d say he should go and play."
Pat Nevin's view
Blues legend Pat Nevin said: "I wouldn’t be surprised."
Nevin added: "So I wouldn’t be shocked if he looks elsewhere to get a game."
Alonso's stance
TEAMtalk said Alonso's stance is that the winger will "have his moments and more minutes" as the campaign progresses.
