Al-Nassr were managing the rehabilitation of eight injured players as they prepared to host Neom at Al-Awwal Park in the tenth round of the Saudi Roshn League. The club was awaiting fresh updates on the injured players and whether any could return for the matches ahead.
Medical staff set the schedule
Al-Nassr's medical staff were working to ease eight players back into group training. GOAL said Saudi newspaper Arriyadiyah reported that Carlos Miguel, described as the Portuguese head of Al-Nassr's medical staff, had set out a precise schedule of appointments at the club's clinic.
Players in intensive treatment
Kingsley Coman, Mohamed Simakan, Abdulrahman Ghareeb and Nader Al-Sharari were going through intensive treatment sessions as they built towards a return to group training. Coman is nursing a hamstring injury and is expected back in training before the next round of the Saudi Roshn League kicks off.
Rehabilitation timelines
Simakan is close to resuming running after his foot joint injury. Abdulrahman Ghareeb continues his rehabilitation to recover from a severe contusion in the same joint. Nader Al-Sharari should be back on the pitch within two to three weeks, having recovered from his own hamstring injury.
Four others continue programmes
Rakan Al-Ghamdi, Mohammed Maran, Raghed Najjar and Mubarak Al-Buainain were continuing their treatment and rehabilitation programmes to timetables already laid out. Al-Ghamdi and Maran have made good progress from the hamstring injuries they picked up at the start of the season, while Najjar and Al-Buainain are in the final stage of their rehabilitation after suffering cruciate ligament ruptures last season.
