Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 at the Emirates on 24 October to move level on 21 points with Manchester City. Ezri Konsa scored his first goal for Arsenal in the victory.

Konsa opens the scoring

Konsa, who joined Arsenal from Aston Villa in the summer, scored Arsenal's opening goal against Everton. Speaking to PLP after the final whistle, the Arsenal defender said: "Great feeling, it always is. A clean sheet, a goal - my first goal for the club - so a fantastic day overall."

He added: "I've been waiting to score my first goal for a while. I spoke to the set piece coach before the game and he told me he's been waiting for my goal as well, so it was only right that I got the goal today."

Konsa also said: "Yeah, definitely after the game against Bayern, where we created a few chances with our set pieces. We felt as players that it was coming and today was the day."

Gabriel reaches 200 appearances

Gabriel Magalhaes scored Arsenal's second goal against Everton. The match also marked Gabriel Magalhaes' 200th Premier League appearance.

On Gabriel, Konsa said: "Very pleased for him. He's a top, top player. Top human being. Very happy for him."

He added: "He's made my life easy since I've joined the club and it's been a pleasure playing alongside him."

Table position and next fixtures

Arsenal's win over Everton moved them level on 21 points with Manchester City, who lost 2-1 at Aston Villa.

Konsa said: "I've come to this stadium for many seasons, I know how tough it is to play against us. It's not surprising to me."

He also said: "We are champions and to be champions you've got to win games consistently. This is our home and we want to win as many games here as possible."

Arsenal are due to play Fleetwood Town in the League Cup fourth round on Tuesday, before an away Premier League game against Liverpool on Sunday.
