Barcelona's flight to Paris for their Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain was delayed by thick fog at El Prat airport on Monday morning. The disruption reduced the time the squad had set aside for planned arrangements in France.
Departure held up by low visibility
Thick fog delayed Barcelona's travel to the French capital on Monday morning. The plane was unable to take off at its scheduled time because of reduced visibility at El Prat airport.
Take-off came more than an hour late
Barcelona had been due to depart at half past ten. More than an hour passed before the plane finally got airborne at 11.50am.
Arrival in the Paris area
The plane touched down in the Paris area at around two in the afternoon local time.
Effect on pre-match plans
The delay disrupted Barcelona's build-up to the meeting with PSG, cutting into the time the squad had set aside for their planned arrangements on French soil. Barcelona are due to play Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday.
