CaughtOffside reported that Chelsea remain interested in Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite and are continuing to plan another defensive addition for 2027. The report says the 24-year-old has signed a new contract running until 2030.
Chelsea interest
CaughtOffside, citing Football Insider, said Chelsea are keen admirers of Branthwaite and could target him when they next strengthen Xabi Alonso’s defence.
Everton valuation
The report says Everton have no intention of making a sale easy. CaughtOffside, citing Football Insider, said Everton still value Branthwaite at around £80million. The report says Manchester United and several overseas clubs are also interested.
Moyes on Branthwaite
Following one of his performances this season, Everton boss David Moyes said: “Jarrad was excellent.” Moyes also called him “a really good player” and said there is “far more to come.”
England return
The report says Branthwaite has earned a return to the England setup.
