TEAMtalk reported that Club Brugge do not intend to sell Nicolo Tresoldi in the January window. The outlet also said Brugge are expected to demand a club-record fee if he eventually leaves.
Brugge's position
According to TEAMtalk sources, Club Brugge have no intention of selling Tresoldi in January and are adamant he will remain beyond the winter window. A source at the Belgian side said: "There is no appetite to let Nicolo leave in January."
Fee and player stance
TEAMtalk understands that Tresoldi will command a fee exceeding the €40million Arsenal paid Brugge for Christos Tzolis in the summer. TEAMtalk also understands that Tresoldi is comfortable with the prospect of remaining at Brugge.
Clubs watching him
TEAMtalk reported that virtually every major club in Europe has watched Tresoldi this season. The outlet said Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur were among the clubs linked with him over the summer, while Chelsea, Manchester City, Newcastle United, Everton and Leeds United have also taken note of some of his recent performances. Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also understood to be monitoring him.
Season record and international choice
TEAMtalk reported that Tresoldi scored 19 goals in the Jupiler Pro League last season after his move from Hannover and has scored eight goals in his first 10 appearances this season. The outlet added that he scored a hat-trick in a recent Champions League win over Inter Milan and has confirmed his international future with Germany, representing the country's Under-21 side. A source at the Belgian side said: "We know every major club in Europe is watching him, and that sets any market going forward, but not for January – the intention is to keep him for sure."
