Borussia Dortmund drew 0-0 away to Union Berlin in the Bundesliga on Saturday. The result left Dortmund without a win in three consecutive competitive matches, although they remained unbeaten in the league with four wins and two draws.
Three-match winless run
Before the draw, Dortmund's previous two matches were a 2-2 draw against Werder Bremen and a 1-0 Champions League defeat at Bodö/Glimt.
Chances in the match
Dortmund failed to hit the target in the first half. As half-time approached, Gregor Kobel made a save from Kastriot Imeri's set-piece delivery.
Early in the second half, Maximilian Beier had Dortmund's best opportunity to that point from Julian Ryerson's deep cross, but his first-time effort went onto the advertising hoardings. For Union Berlin, Tim Skarke failed to hit the target while under pressure after racing through on goal.
Fabio Silva came on in the 62nd minute for Beier. After just over 70 minutes, Silva created a chance for Guirassy. Shortly before Mathis Albert headed wide at the back post, Silva fizzed a low ball across the face of goal.
Substitutions and injury
Karetsas came on in the 62nd minute for Nwaneri. GOAL said that just a few seconds into the match, referee Schlager mistakenly showed Nwaneri a red card for a hard challenge on Rothe before immediately changing it to yellow.
Konstantinos Karetsas was forced off injured after coming on as a substitute. He badly twisted his ankle in his own penalty area and had to go off again in the 70th minute, with Mathis Albert coming on for him.
Individual assessments
