Inter confirmed Benjamin Pavard has a right thigh adductor strain, with initial reports suggesting an absence of around 20 days.

Inter have confirmed that Benjamin Pavard has suffered a thigh injury, adding to the club's injury list. After a 4-3 home defeat against Club Brugge in the Champions League on Tuesday night, Inter have zero points after two matches in the competition.

Injury confirmed

Inter confirmed in a statement that Pavard has suffered a strain to the adductors of the thigh in his right leg after reporting for medical examinations in Milan on Thursday morning.

Expected absence

Initial reports suggest that Pavard will be sidelined for a period of around 20 days. Football Italia said that a period of around 20 days on the sidelines means Pavard is set to miss out on upcoming Serie A fixtures against Bologna, Fiorentina and Venezia, and likely the Derby della Madonnina against Milan at the end of October as well.

Other Inter injuries

Football Italia said Inter's growing injury list also includes Lautaro Martinez, John Stones and Curtis Jones. Football Italia said Lautaro Martinez picked up a hamstring issue during the Club Brugge defeat and is now facing several weeks on the sidelines, Jones is nursing a thigh injury and is facing another few weeks on the sidelines, and Stones has not featured since picking up a hamstring issue on his first competitive start for the club back in September.
