GOAL reported that Inter are interested in Shakhtar Donetsk full-back Pedro Henrique after watching him in that match. The Brazilian defender started against Inter and played all 93 minutes.
Inter watched him live
GOAL reported that Inter's transfer staff had a chance to watch Pedro Henrique live and up close, one who could become a future target. GOAL also reported that Shakhtar Donetsk have set Pedro Henrique's transfer fee at no less than €25 million.
Pedro Henrique's background
Pedro Henrique is a Brazilian full-back born in 2002. Pedro Henrique Azevedo Pereira was born on 11 July 2002 in Salvador, in the Brazilian state of Bahia.
He came through Vitoria's youth ranks as an attacking wide player and then moved into a deeper role. He made his first-team appearances in 2020, and his performances prompted Athletico Paranaense to invest in him in 2021.
Dispute and accusation
A dispute followed between Vitoria and Athletico Paranaense over the terms of Pedro Henrique's signing. The case went to the CBF's National Disputes Chamber, which ordered a payment of 8.5 million reais to settle the deal.
In 2023 Pedro Henrique was formally investigated and accused of accepting 80,000 Brazilian reais to receive a yellow card against Cuiabà. Globo Esporte reported that Athletico Paranaense released Pedro Henrique and Bryan Garcia in 2023 before prosecutors had even formally brought the accusation.
Shakhtar move and contract
Shortly afterwards, Pedro Henrique accepted Shakhtar Donetsk's approach. He is under contract until 30 June 2030.
