Liverpool are set to hold weekend talks over whether to recall Ifeanyi Ndukwe from Levante in January, with his representatives due to meet club officials.

Liverpool are set to hold talks on the weekend over whether to recall Ifeanyi Ndukwe from his Levante loan in January. The Liverpool Echo, citing Sky Sports Austria, reported that a potential return to Anfield is on the agenda.

Talks with representatives

The Liverpool Echo, citing Sky Sports Austria, reported that Liverpool are set to hold talks with Ndukwe's representatives. Sky Sports Austria, as cited by the Liverpool Echo, said representatives from his agency, More than Sport by AS1, are set to sit down with Liverpool officials to map out his next steps.

January recall option

The Liverpool Echo, citing Sky Sports Austria, reported that Liverpool retained the option to recall Ndukwe from his loan spell at Levante in January. Ndukwe is on loan at Levante.

Ndukwe's situation

Ndukwe is an 18-year-old Austrian centre-back. He was not able to feature in competitive games for Liverpool this term because of the absence of a work permit in England. Liverpool loaned him to Levante partly because he did not yet have enough points for a work permit in England.

Levante appearances

Ndukwe made two substitute appearances for Levante after being named on the bench three times. He has started three games in a row for Levante. One appearance for Levante was enough for Ndukwe to gain the points needed for a work permit in England.
