AC Milan head to Bournemouth on Thursday. Ahead of that game, a report recalled Milan's trip to Portsmouth in November 2008 for a UEFA Cup clash that ended in a draw at Fratton Park.
Portsmouth match in 2008
Portsmouth kept the tie scoreless until half-time. After the break, Younes Kaboul scored for Portsmouth from Glenn Johnson's cross, and Kanu then doubled the home side's advantage with a close-range finish.
Milan changes and comeback
Clarence Seedorf, Alexandre Pato and Ronaldinho came on between Portsmouth's first and second goals. Ronaldinho then scored a free-kick for Milan, and Filippo Inzaghi scored Milan's equaliser in stoppage time.
Fratton Park atmosphere
The Hayters report says Fratton Park was labelled one of the “best atmospheres” Ronaldinho played in.
