According to Calciomercato, AC Milan are exploring an ambitious move to sign Manchester United defender Leny Yoro next summer. The same claim says Milan are hoping to sign a new centre-back in January first.

Milan's centre-back plans

Calciomercato understands that Milan want a new centre-back in January, with Kim Min-Jae among their options. Calciomercato also claims Milan will then try to sign another centre-back at the end of the season, with Yoro their dream target.

Yoro's link to Amorim

Yoro is familiar to Milan boss Ruben Amorim, with the pair having worked together at United between November 2024 and January 2026. It is believed Milan would need to pay between €40 million and €50 million, or £33.5 million and £41.9 million, to extract Yoro from United.

Contract and transfer details

Yoro joined United from Lille for €62 million, or £52.2 million, in July 2024. He is tied to Old Trafford until the summer of 2029, and United have the option to extend his contract by a further year.

Recent appearances

Yoro has started the last three games for United, with two of those starts coming at right-back. He was sent off in the Champions League loss to Atletico Madrid on 13 October and has made 73 appearances in total for United, scoring once.
