John Mousinho said Keshi Anderson has a hamstring tear and Colby Bishop was withdrawn before Portsmouth's win at Norwich City with knee discomfort.

John Mousinho said Keshi Anderson is facing six to eight weeks out with a hamstring tear. Mousinho also said Colby Bishop was withdrawn from the squad at short notice before Portsmouth's win at Norwich City on Saturday after feeling discomfort in his knee.

Anderson setback

Mousinho said: "He has got a hamstring tear so we’re looking at six to eight weeks out for him."

Hayters said Anderson suffered the injury during Wednesday’s 3-2 win over Sheffield United and missed the win over Norwich City.

Bishop withdrawn before Norwich

Mousinho said Bishop was withdrawn from the squad at short notice ahead of Saturday’s win at Norwich after feeling discomfort in his knee.

He said: "We had two goalkeepers on the bench and lost a player in the warm-up today."

Squad stretched

Mousinho said: "We’re really thin on the ground at the moment."

Mousinho praises players

Mousinho praised the players after back-to-back wins. He said: "We have to always believe that if we keep doing the right things on the pitch, then we’ll get rewarded for that."

He added: "The centre-halves were both excellent and we defended well as a team. It was pleasing to not look overly exposed, although there were still moments when we could have made it easier for ourselves."
