FootballTransfers reported that Kendry Paez is reportedly ready to leave Chelsea in the upcoming winter transfer window. The player has been placed in Chelsea’s U21 squad since his return to Stamford Bridge.
Transfer claim
FootballTransfers, citing Nicolo Schira, reported that Paez is reportedly ready to leave during the upcoming winter transfer window. FootballTransfers also wrote that it remains to be seen if Chelsea are willing to sanction a permanent sale in January, or whether they would prefer another loan deal.
His Chelsea situation
Paez joined Chelsea from Independiente del Valle for €10 million in 2025, but he is yet to make his first-team debut for the club. Since his return to Stamford Bridge, Paez has been placed in Chelsea’s U21 squad.
Loan spells
Paez had a loan spell at Strasbourg during the first half of last season and made 21 appearances across all competitions before he was recalled in January. He was then sent to River Plate on a temporary deal, and his loan spell was cancelled by the Argentine giants in August.
Alonso's comment
Xabi Alonso said Paez was “not part of the first-team squad and not part of the plans.”
