South Africa's four teams in CAF competitions are in action, with three of them playing on Friday. The ties leave Chiefs, Sundowns and Pirates heading into second-leg matches, while Durban City already hold an advantage.
Three teams play on Friday
Chiefs trail 1-0 from the first leg against Red Arrows. Sundowns were held to a 0-0 draw in the first leg in Angola against Wiliete. Pirates lead 1-0 from the first leg in neutral Botswana against their Namibian visitors.
Sundowns injury concerns
Flashscore reported that Sundowns will likely be without Teboho Mokoena through injury and could also be missing goalkeeper Ronwen Williams.
Pirates and squad rotation
Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou will want to make sure of the win first, but with Carling Cup action and the Soweto Derby, it is also a chance to rotate his squad.
Durban City hold first-leg lead
Durban City beat AS Port Louis 3-1 in the first leg of their tie. Durban City are in their debut season in African club competition. Coach Eric Tinkler is with Durban City.
