Al-Hilal visited Al-Qadsiah at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam for the 11th round of the Roshn League, where Gabriel Martinelli scored. GOAL said Ollie Watkins' assist took him to the top of the league's assist charts with five this season.
Opening goal in the 21st minute
Martinelli opened the scoring in the 21st minute. Watkins slipped Martinelli a ground pass and Martinelli fired it into the back of the net.
Martinelli's scoring run
It was Martinelli's sixth goal of the season in the Saudi Roshn League. He has now found the net in four consecutive matches in the competition.
Watkins' numbers this season
The assist took Watkins to five for the campaign, more than anyone else in the Roshn League this season. In eight matches, Watkins has had a hand in 10 goals, scoring five and setting up five more.
GOAL's note on the assist race
GOAL said Watkins has been outstanding since arriving from Aston Villa in the this summer transfer window. GOAL said the chasing pack on four was led by Al-Nassr's Joao Felix of Portugal, Al-Fateh winger Mourad Batna of Morocco and Al-Qadsiah full-back Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat.
