Al-Ittihad brought George Ilenikhena back into the squad before travelling to Dammam for their Saudi Roshn League meeting with Al-Ettifaq. Youssef En-Nesyri was also among the players making the trip for the tenth-round match, which was scheduled for nine in the evening.
Ilenikhena back in the group
Ilenikhena had been absent from Al-Ittihad's squad against Al-Hilal, when Al-Ittihad lost 3-2. He returned to the group ahead of the clash with Al-Ettifaq.
Foreign players in the squad
Eight foreign players made Al-Ittihad's squad: Predrag Rajkovic, Danilo Pereira, Houssem Aouar, Steven Bergwijn, Georginio Wijnaldum, Youssef En-Nesyri, George Ilenikhena and Richard Rios.
Players out and back
According to Arriyadiyah, Dion Lopy and Karlo Simic were left out of the Al-Ittihad delegation that departed for Dammam. Ahmed Al-Ghamdi returned after recovering from the calf muscle injury that kept him out of the clash against Shabab Al-Ahli of the UAE in the second round of the AFC Champions League Elite, a match Al-Ittihad then lost 2-1.
