BlockBeats reported on Sept. 8 that a whale address starting with 0x9a80, previously tracked for recording more than $5 million in floating profit and funding-fee income on ChangXin Memory Technologies, or CXMT, continued to expand its long position in the Anthropic valuation contract io:ANTH, according to TradingBeats.
Position expands as ANTH rises
ANTH gained about 7.65% over the past 24 hours. Even with roughly $491,600 in unrealized profit already in hand, the address kept buying ANTH through TWAP and other executions on the day, adding about $694,100.
After the increase, its ANTH long position was up about 13.3%, bringing total position value to around $6.163 million with an average entry price of $1,977.
At the same time, total ANTH market open interest stood at about $22.407 million. The address accounted for roughly 27.5% of that figure, making it the largest long in the market.
TWAP order remains active
At 09:55, the address launched another TWAP buy program for 250 contracts scheduled to run for 11 hours. Based on the original schedule, it is set to continue until 20:55. The $694,100 in purchases already includes the portion that has been executed so far, which leaves room for the position to increase further.
Outside the TWAP flow, the address also kept 30 buy orders at $1,910 to catch a pullback, involving about $57,300. No public ANTH take-profit sell orders have been seen so far.
Implied valuation tied to io:ANTH
io:ANTH is a perpetual contract tied to Anthropic’s valuation. The quoted price was about $2,148.8, implying an on-chain valuation of about $2.15 trillion. The whale’s blended cost of $1,977.39 implied a valuation of about $1.98 trillion.
Earlier gains came from CXMT
The address first drew broad attention with its CXMT trade. Since July 15, it has held a long position in ChangXin Memory Technologies and accumulated about $2.645 million in funding-fee income. That position had also previously shown about $3.094 million in floating profit, putting combined gains at one point above $5.7 million.
An earlier report had said the biggest long holder that made $5.6 million on CXMT had started building a new bullish position in Anthropic, or ANTH.
