Anthropic has moved Code Review, the automated review feature inside Claude Code, out of research preview and into general availability for Team and Enterprise customers. The tool, first introduced in March this year, runs multiple agents in parallel after a developer submits a GitHub pull request, checking for logic flaws, security issues, and edge-case problems. It then cross-validates findings to reduce false positives and posts the detected issues, trigger conditions, and suggested fixes directly on the relevant lines of code. According to Anthropic, most reviews now finish in 6 to 10 minutes, compared with about 20 minutes during the preview period, bringing the process close to three times faster. Admins can also choose among Quick, Standard, and Deep review modes for different repositories. Claude Code founder Boris Cherny said he uses Code Review on all of his pull requests and that the tool catches nearly all bugs before merge. The feature is not included in standard Claude subscription usage and carries a separate charge. Anthropic previously said reviews cost $15 to $25 on average, with final pricing based on token consumption. More complex code and deeper review settings usually cost more.

Anthropic has officially released Code Review, the automated code review feature in Claude Code, moving it out of research preview and making it available to Team and Enterprise users.

The feature was first introduced in March this year. After a developer submits a GitHub pull request, Code Review dispatches multiple agents in parallel to inspect the code for logic bugs, security vulnerabilities, and edge-case issues. It then cross-checks the results to filter out false positives and places the identified problems, trigger conditions, and suggested fixes directly on the relevant lines of code.

Review times drop to 6 to 10 minutes

Anthropic said most reviews now take 6 to 10 minutes, versus about 20 minutes during the preview stage, making the process close to three times faster. Administrators can also set three review depths for different repositories: Quick, Standard, and Deep.

Boris Cherny says the tool catches nearly all bugs before merge

Boris Cherny, founder of Claude Code, said he runs Code Review on all of his own pull requests and that it catches nearly all bugs before they are merged.

Feature is billed separately

The company said Code Review requires additional payment and is not included in Claude subscription usage. Anthropic had previously disclosed that each review costs $15 to $25 on average, with actual charges based on token usage. More complex code and deeper review settings usually raise the cost.
