On-chain data shows whale Garrett Jin transferred 5,000 BTC and 261,000 ETH to Binance after Bitcoin rebounded above $70k. Meanwhile, a Satoshi-era wallet dormant for 14 years reactivated, receiving 7,068 BTC worth nearly $470 million.

Blockchain trackers have flagged two massive transfers from wallets linked to whale Garrett Jin: 5,000 Bitcoin (~$350 million) and 261,000 Ethereum (~$545 million) moved to Binance within two days. The combined value approaches $900 million.

Bitcoin Deposit Followed by USDT Withdrawal

According to Lookonchain, Jin's wallet sent 5,000 BTC to Binance shortly after Bitcoin reclaimed the $70,000 level. Soon after, the same wallet withdrew $53.12 million in USDT from the exchange — a move that coincided with Bitcoin slipping back below $70k. The timing suggests the Bitcoin deposit likely resulted in a market sale. Despite the large move, Jin-linked wallets still hold roughly 30,000 BTC worth about $2.09 billion.

Ethereum Transfer Follows Losses

The next day, Jin deposited 261,000 ETH into Binance. The transfer came after earlier reports that Jin had suffered liquidation losses totaling roughly $250 million. The back-to-back deposits signal rapid repositioning by a major holder.

Other Whale Moves and a Dormant Wallet Awakens

Separately, Whale Alert tracked 1,651 BTC (~$114 million) from an unknown wallet to Binance. At the same time, Arkham Intelligence reported that a Satoshi-era wallet, inactive for over 14 years, received 7,068 BTC—valued near $470 million—shortly after becoming active again. Arkham labeled it a 'Satoshi Whale.' Together with Jin's transfers, these whale-driven transactions marked a concentrated period of blockchain activity.
