Bitget UEX daily: Nvidia jumps after earnings, optical names climb, Bitcoin holds near $78,785
Bitget UEX’s latest market note tracked a cross-asset session shaped by hotter-than-expected U.S. inflation data, Nvidia’s earnings, and continued interest in Bitcoin as a hedge against fiscal concerns. U.S. July PCE came in at 3.7% year over year and 0.2% month over month, both above market expectations, keeping attention on the Jackson Hole conference and Federal Reserve Chair Warsh’s upcoming speech. U.S. equities were little changed to lower before Nvidia’s results, while storage, optical communications, and cybersecurity names outperformed. Nvidia later reported fiscal 2027 second-quarter revenue of $96.2 billion, up 106%, adjusted EPS of $2.22, and data center revenue of $89 billion, up 117%, then said fiscal 2028 revenue could grow about 70%, sending the stock up more than 4% in after-hours trading. In crypto, BTC traded around $78,785 and ETH near $2,494, with total market capitalization at $2.74 trillion. Spot ETF flows remained positive, and the report also highlighted comments from BlackRock’s Robbie Mitchnick, Bloomberg’s data on gold and Bitcoin ETF inflows, Bernstein’s $300,000 Bitcoin target by the end of 2029, and CoinDesk’s update that Ripple stablecoin RLUSD has surpassed a $2 billion market cap.
