BlackRock-backed Ondo portfolio tokens push tokenization beyond single-asset wrappers

BlackRock’s latest move with Ondo points to a new stage in tokenization: not just putting one familiar asset onchain, but packaging full portfolio strategies into transferable tokens. According to Decrypt’s Morning Minute newsletter, Ondo introduced three products built from BlackRock-developed strategies, each represented by a single token that can rebalance over time and move peer-to-peer between wallets. The three tickers are BLKHIon, BLKDIGon, and BLKGRWon, aimed at eligible investors outside the U.S. ONDO rose about 30% after the announcement. The structure also draws a sharper line between institutional branding and crypto infrastructure. Ondo’s disclosures say BlackRock is not acting as adviser, manager, sponsor, promoter, underwriter, marketer, or distributor, and does not supervise or control the products. In practice, Decrypt describes the setup as one where BlackRock provides the strategy and brand, while Ondo handles distribution, rails, and liability. The newsletter also covered a broad market rebound, ETF inflows, new policy and enforcement developments, Bitget’s confirmation that roughly $351.6 million was drained from wallets, and fresh NFT headlines including OpenSea’s physical collectibles hub and a suspected Magic Eden contract vulnerability.

Circle-backed Arc set for Sept. 16 launch as Arc-based USDC trades at a sharp premium

Circle’s Arc blockchain is scheduled to go live on Sept. 16, and traders are already positioning ahead of the launch. The setup has drawn attention because the earlier debut of the Robinhood chain saw tokens such as CASHCAT post 1,000x and even 10,000x returns, creating expectations that Arc could produce a similar burst of speculative activity. That has pushed on-chain capital to look for early entry points before the network officially opens. A third-party venue is already offering swaps between USDC on Ethereum mainnet and USDC on Arc. Market data cited in the report shows Arc-based USDC trading at nearly double the value of Ethereum mainnet USDC. A leading platform involved in this market has matched 11,660 swaps with cumulative volume above $5 million, while charging a 3% service fee on these transactions. Several crypto-native platforms have also said they will support Arc as soon as it launches, including NFT marketplace OpenSea and meme coin platform fomo. Circle co-founder Jeremy Allaire responded positively soon after fomo previewed its Arc support, a move the report described as a potential sign of support for the crypto-native community.

Arc Chain set for Sept. 16 launch as Circle co-founder responds to fomo teaser

Arc Chain is being developed by stablecoin issuer Circle and is described as an open blockchain network aimed primarily at institutional users. Ahead of the launch, debate has emerged over whether the network will embrace the native meme coin culture that often drives activity on crypto-first chains. Support from ecosystem platforms is already starting to form. OpenSea and fomo have both said they will support Arc Chain as soon as it launches. Circle co-founder Jeremy Allaire has also responded positively to fomo’s launch teaser, adding to market attention around the upcoming network debut.

OpenSea restores Solana NFT trading, bringing back support for major collections

OpenSea has restored support for Solana NFT trading, allowing users to buy and sell Solana-based collectibles on the marketplace again. The relaunch covers a number of well-known collections, including Claynosaurz, Mad Lads, BoDoggos, Collector Crypt, and Phygitals. According to an OpenSea representative, the company’s OS2 platform was rebuilt from the ground up as a multi-chain marketplace. Solana token support returned first, and NFT support has now followed. The move puts Solana back in place as the first non-EVM chain supported for NFT trading on OpenSea since the platform first introduced Solana NFT support in beta in April 2022. Solana had already returned to OpenSea alongside OS2 in April 2025, but at that time the rollout only covered fungible tokens, with NFT support still pending. OpenSea’s broader network list remains dominated by EVM-compatible chains such as Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Base, Monad, Sei, and Berachain. The relaunch also comes at a time when NFT activity remains far below its previous highs. Data from The Block shows monthly market volume reached billions of dollars in 2021 and 2022, but now stands at only hundreds of millions.
