ROBIN meme coin briefly tops $15 million market cap, up more than 92% in 24 hours
ROBIN, a meme coin on Robinhood Chain, briefly pushed its market capitalization above $15 million before pulling back to $12.62 million, according to GMGN market data cited by BlockBeats on Sept. 10. The token was still up more than 92% over the past 24 hours, while trading volume during the same period reached $1.8 million. BlockBeats said ROBIN, short for Robin the Frog, is based on an existing character from The Muppets. The character is described as Kermit the Frog’s nephew and also appeared in Muppet Robin Hood, giving it a direct link to the Robin Hood story. That narrative fit has helped the token gain traction in the Robinhood Chain community. Within that community, ROBIN has been described as the "Pepe of Robinhood Chain" or the chain’s "native frog." BlockBeats also included a risk warning, noting that meme coins often lack practical use cases and can see sharp price swings, and said users should stay cautious when investing.
