Bitget launches cross-asset UTA, adds 100 tokenized U.S. stocks as margin

Bitget has introduced what it calls the first cross-asset Unified Trading Account, or UTA, in the industry, bringing more than 370 assets into a single margin pool. The rollout includes 100 tokenized U.S. stock products under its rToken line, allowing eligible holdings to be used not only as investment exposure but also as margin and collateral inside one account. According to the company, users can combine cryptocurrencies, tokenized U.S. equities and other real-world-asset-related holdings in the same account for derivatives trading, leveraged positions and collateralized borrowing. Bitget frames the product as the third stage in the evolution of unified accounts: from single-currency margin systems, to multi-crypto margin pools, and now to a cross-asset framework that includes tokenized stocks and RWA products. The company said rToken can serve three functions inside UTA: holding exposure to the underlying asset’s price performance, contributing to account margin, and being pledged to borrow stablecoins. Bitget also said the 100 supported rToken assets cover large-cap U.S. names, broad market indexes, preferred shares, technology, semiconductors, AI infrastructure, finance, consumer, energy, healthcare and communications.

Tom Lee says AI downstream assets are gaining strength as AI bottleneck stocks pull back

Tom Lee said AI downstream assets are strengthening as stocks tied to AI bottlenecks undergo a correction. He named SMH, DRAM, MAGS and IGV among the relevant assets, and also pointed to ETHA and Ethereum’s ETH as part of the AI downstream theme. Lee added that over the past month, Ethereum has outperformed DRAM by about 5,500 basis points, or 55%. The remarks frame Ethereum alongside a broader set of assets that Lee sees benefiting as leadership shifts within the AI trade. No additional timeframe beyond the past month, or further performance figures for the other named assets, were provided in the source.

JPMorgan says U.S. stock market deleveraging still has room to run, with pre-April conditions likely three months away

JPMorgan’s global markets strategy team said in a July 15 report that the deleveraging cycle that began in June is still working through U.S. equities. The bank pointed to three areas where positioning remains elevated: leveraged equity ETFs, retail call-option activity, and margin accounts. In its view, those pockets still have room to unwind, which could keep pressure on stocks over the next several months. The report estimates that it may take about three months of range-bound trading for the ratio of leveraged equity ETF assets to underlying market capitalization to return to levels seen before April. JPMorgan also said fresh inflows into leveraged ETFs in July have extended that adjustment process. On derivatives and retail leverage, the bank highlighted a retail call-buying gauge based on OCC data that peaked near 14 million contracts on June 5, matching prior highs seen in October 2025 and November 2021. It also said NYSE net debit balances remain at historically extreme levels, even after a recent pullback. At the same time, JPMorgan argued that the longer-term equity supply-demand backdrop remains positive. Retail investors remain the biggest source of support, and the bank expects net equity demand in the second half of 2026 to stay positive even as deleveraging drives near-term volatility.

Bitget adds 39 stock-backed rTokens as collateral in crypto lending section

Bitget has added support for 39 stock-backed tokens, or rTokens, as collateral in its crypto lending section, according to an official announcement cited by ChainCatcher. The newly supported assets include names such as rAMD, rSMH, rARM and rSKHY, spanning U.S. stocks and ETFs across sectors including semiconductors, finance, healthcare and energy. Users holding these tokenized stock products can now pledge them to borrow major assets such as USDT and USDC without selling their positions, giving them a way to unlock liquidity while retaining exposure. Bitget said the feature is already live on the web version, while app support is expected to arrive within the week. The company also said the rTokens are issued by Reality, a licensed RWA protocol under Bitget, and connected to liquidity pools including Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange through a partnership with licensed broker Alpaca. Bitget said the products are backed 1:1, dividends are distributed in token form on a 1:1 basis, and corporate actions such as stock splits and reverse splits are mirrored.
