Robinhood Cha2026-09-09 15:03:56Memecoin Trading Sends Robinhood Chain Past Solana and BNB Chain on FeesRobinhood Chain, launched on July 1, is now generating trading fees at a pace that has put it ahead of Solana and BNB Chain over recent periods, according to comments from Franklin Crypto’s Chris Perkins, a Bernstein note led by Gautam Chhugani, and DefiLlama data cited in Unchained’s report. Bernstein told clients on Tuesday that it kept an Outperform rating on Robinhood Markets and a $160 price target, while describing the chain as an earnings contributor with daily trading fees of $2 million to $4 million. Over the prior 15 days, the network produced roughly $33 million in fees, compared with about $11 million for Solana and close to $9 million for BNB Chain. The report said nearly 90% of that revenue remains with Robinhood, with around one-tenth going to Arbitrum, whose technology underpins the chain, and less than 1% flowing to Ethereum. DefiLlama data showed Robinhood Chain brought in $23.8 million over the last seven days out of $33.5 million over 30 days, meaning about 71% of its monthly fees were generated in the most recent week. The activity was described as being driven largely by memecoins linked to thinly traded stocks. On Bits + Bips, host Austin Campbell pointed to FARMI, a Nasdaq-listed Chinese dried mushroom seller with 15 employees, whose shares rose 350% on Wednesday with 720 million shares traded after a memecoin using its ticker began trading on Robinhood Chain. Perkins said that kind of activity was "a game" rather than an investment.900

Built on Arbitrum Orbit, the network has climbed into the top five globally by DEX trading volume within about three months of its July 1 mainnet launch. The report said cumulative DEX volume on Robinhood Chain surpassed $47 billion in mid-August. On its busiest trading day, the Uniswap protocol accounted for about 90% of the chain’s volume. Beyond memecoins, tokenized stocks have also become a major driver of activity on the platform. Robinhood Chain also set a single-day record of $85 million in tokenized stock trading on Aug. 25. The figures point to rapid growth in onchain trading activity shortly after the network went live.790
Crypto Market2026-09-04 12:31:31Crypto Rallies as Rate Hopes Cool, Bitcoin Reclaims $81,000 and ETFs Post Biggest Inflows Since JanuaryChristopher Waller said Thursday he would be inclined to support holding rates steady if inflation data keeps improving, and crypto markets reacted fast. Bitcoin climbed back above $80,000 and briefly topped $81,100, while the Dow added 453 points and more than 119,000 traders were liquidated for over $500 million. Spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $731 million, their largest net inflow since January, and ether funds added $141 million. Altcoins moved sharply higher too, with XRP up 7.8%, BNB and Solana each rising about 5%, Ether gaining 4.7% to $2,497 and Zcash jumping 18% to a new all-time high above $1,000. Riskier names were even wilder: PONS surged 56%, Lighter gained 16.8%, Ethena rose 13.6%, Arbitrum added 12% and SPX6900 climbed 13.2%. The report also noted fresh product and policy developments, including Polymarket Perps, Coinbase’s SEC filings for single-stock perpetual futures, Standard Chartered’s institutional spot crypto trading in Dubai, and a SoFi-Kraken deal linking dollar settlement and crypto order flow.1130
Robinhood Cha2026-09-02 13:20:37Five Emerging AMMs on Robinhood Chain Draw Attention as LP Demand Builds Around Stock Tokens and MemecoinsLiquidity provision has become one of the more closely watched trades on Robinhood Chain as activity around stock tokens and memecoins picks up. In a review published by Odaily, five newer AMM projects on the chain — up., Fables, Ramses, Delta, and Ekubo — were highlighted for their different fee models, token structures, and incentive designs. The report says many of the memecoins gaining traction on Robinhood Chain are paired with stock tokens, which makes LP infrastructure a key part of the trading flow. It adds that users routing through front-end aggregators often move through WETH, USDG, stock tokens, and then the memecoin itself, with some platforms adding another step. In that setup, sudden bursts of memecoin demand can push pool fees sharply higher. Odaily notes that Uniswap V2, V3, and V4 still account for more than 90% of trading volume on Robinhood Chain, but newer AMMs are attracting users looking for early participation, potential token incentives, and possible airdrop exposure. The piece also warns that LP strategies still carry hidden costs, including impermanent loss, heavy price swings, and smart contract risk.1620
Robinhood Cha2026-09-02 07:50:22Rising fees on Robinhood Chain are shifting the edge from trench PvP to LP strategiesRobinhood Chain has posted rapid growth in its first two months, with 463 million cumulative transactions, 12.08 million active wallets, $52 billion in DEX volume, and nearly 594,000 meme-token trading targets on-chain. But the surge in activity has also pushed transaction costs sharply higher. According to the source article, total gas paid on the chain has reached 4,274 ETH, while DefiLlama data shows daily gas spending rose from about $56,000 on Aug. 23 to roughly $3.75 million on Sept. 1. The article argues that the chain’s cost structure now weighs heavily on short-term memecoin traders. Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum-based Layer 2, combines L2 execution fees with L1 data fees tied to Ethereum congestion and calldata size. On top of that, launchpad and token-level fees can materially raise the real cost of trading. Using a microduck example, the piece estimates that a trader buying $1,000 worth of the token and later selling after a 50% gain would give up about $62.7 in total transaction costs, reducing a theoretical $500 profit to $437.3. Against that backdrop, the article says liquidity provision is becoming a more attractive alternative. It highlights several RH-native pools and protocols with elevated APRs, while also noting that some traders are using high-fee Uniswap v4 pools to monetize meme-driven volatility.820
Robinhood Cha2026-09-01 17:09:58Robinhood Chain Hits $1.49B in DEX Volume as Pons Takes Nearly Two-Thirds of Launchpad FeesRobinhood Chain moved into second place among blockchains by 24-hour decentralized exchange volume, processing $1.49 billion and beating Ethereum, BNB Chain and Base, according to DefiLlama. Solana remained first at $2.5 billion. The surge has been driven in part by launchpad activity, with Pons — a Robinhood Chain-native platform — collecting $4.89 million in fees on Aug. 31 versus $1.72 million for Solana’s pump.fun. That gave Pons 63.9% of all launchpad fees paid across crypto that day, while launchpads on Robinhood Chain together accounted for about 70%. The network, originally introduced by Robinhood for tokenized equities, has become a major venue for memecoin issuance. Pons has out-earned pump.fun on daily fees every day since Aug. 29, and its V2 model adds both launch fees and swap fees across bonding curve trades and Uniswap V4 pools. Robinhood Chain has also become the largest home for Uniswap V4 trading, with $720.3 million in 24-hour volume, or 51% of all Uniswap V4 activity across chains. Robinhood itself does not collect application fees from these launchpads. Its revenue comes from gas fees, which DefiLlama tracked at $2.13 million over 24 hours. Net chain revenue, after Ethereum L1 costs, blob costs and the 10% Arbitrum Expansion Program license share, stood at $1.92 million as of Sept. 1, 16:15 UTC.1430
Solana Labs2026-09-01 14:36:02Judge dismisses Solana Labs from Burwick Law’s Pump Fun lawsuitA federal judge has dismissed Burwick Law’s claims against Solana Labs, the Solana Foundation, and their executives in the ongoing Pump Fun case, while allowing part of the suit against Pump Fun’s parent company and several executives to move ahead. According to a court filing disclosed Monday, Judge Colleen McMahon ruled on a series of motions to dismiss, preserving certain Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, or RICO, allegations tied to wire fraud, illegal gambling, and unlicensed money transmission. Those claims were brought by plaintiffs Carnahan and Okafor, while similar RICO allegations from plaintiff Aguilar were thrown out. The court also dismissed Securities Act claims tied to Pump Fun memecoins FRED and GRIFFAIN, finding they did not involve a common enterprise and therefore did not satisfy the Howey test. Crypto lawyer Ariel Givner said the ruling should not be read as a blanket statement that all memecoins fall outside securities law. In a separate part of the order, the judge told Burwick Law to explain by September 10 why 25 unnamed KOL defendants have still not been identified and served since the case was filed in January 2025.1110
California2026-08-28 12:09:48California Senate passes bill restricting public officials’ memecoinsCalifornia lawmakers have advanced Assembly Bill 2409, a measure aimed at limiting public officials’ involvement in memecoins and restricting how those tokens can be offered to residents in the state. The bill passed the California Senate by a 40-0 vote on Wednesday, according to Legiscan, and the Assembly later voted 78-0 to concur with the Senate’s amendments. It has now entered the enrolled stage and is waiting for the governor’s signature. Under the bill, digital asset service providers would be barred from offering California residents any memecoins issued on or after Jan. 1, 2027, if those tokens are offered by, or in partnership with, federal public officials or state or local public officers. The legislation defines memecoins as digital assets whose value comes mainly from public attention, speculation, or community engagement. Lawmakers tied the proposal to concerns over conflicts of interest and what the bill describes as “pay-to-play arrangements.” The report also points to the Official Trump (TRUMP) token as a live example in the broader debate. Public Citizen said investors tied to the token are estimated to be $3.2 billion underwater, mostly on an unrealized basis. CoinMarketCap data cited in the report shows TRUMP with a $688 million market capitalization, up 53% over the past week after falling 67% over the past year.980
