Napoli manager Massimiliano Allegri told DAZN before the Roma match about his midfield setup, the need for aggression and the roles of Anguissa and McTominay.

Napoli manager Massimiliano Allegri spoke to DAZN ahead of the match against Roma, addressing his midfield setup, match demands and player roles.

Three-man midfield

Allegri said: "I've put three in midfield; they need to be allowed to play freely."

Details and aggression

Allegri said: "It's the details that make the difference. If you're not aggressive, your opponents have an easier time. Even against Bodo, we gave the impression that we could concede goals far too easily."

Roles for Anguissa and McTominay

Allegri said: "There was no need. I put him in that position and he's good at moving. Anguissa has to provide balance and McTominay is more attack-minded."
