Barcelona meet Real Madrid on Sunday with several availability concerns ahead of the match.
Longer-term absences
One player suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear in preseason training and is set to spend the entire campaign in recovery. Andreas Christensen picked up a thigh strain in September and is set to be sidelined for over a month. Christensen has made 6 appearances so far in 2026–27.
García ruled out
The club said García left the field in discomfort during the 5–2 win away at Real Betis and was later confirmed to have picked up a thigh issue. The club put García's recovery timeline at between 3 and 4 weeks. The club also ruled García out of the clash with Real Madrid.
Olmo setback
Olmo limped off in the first half of Barcelona’s 4–2 Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. Barcelona later confirmed an adductor injury for Olmo and suggested he will be out for around a month as he recovers.
Flick on the Frenchman
Flick told reporters regarding the Frenchman’s minor ankle sprain: "We hope that maybe he could also be an option for the weekend, but we have to see. We have to wait."
