Atalanta striker Giacomo Raspadori is set to miss at least three weeks after tests on the injury he sustained in the Conference League against Pafos. The new thigh problem rules him out for the coming period after Thursday evening's match.
Medical update
A statement from the Atalanta medical staff confirmed that Raspadori has a low grade strain of the femoral bicep in the right thigh. Football Italia said Sky Sport Italia calculate that Raspadori will be out of action for at least three weeks.
How the injury happened
Raspadori pulled up straight after converting the penalty in the 3-1 victory over Pafos on Thursday evening and was substituted by Charles De Ketelaere.
Availability and absences
Football Italia said it is possible Raspadori won’t be available until after the next break for international duty. Football Italia said Atalanta are already missing Giorgio Scalvini, Franck Kessie, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Isak Hien and Odilon Kossounou. Eljif Elmas is suspended for the Serie A meeting with Milan on 18 October.
