QPR are facing several injury absences, with Nicolas Madsen, Rumarn Burrell and Tariq Lamptey out until after the November international break. Ilias Chair has also been ruled out of Saturday’s match against Swansea City, while QPR have confirmed that Amadou Mbengue is set to miss the rest of the season with an ACL injury.
Madsen setback detailed
Boss Julien Stephan told West London Sport: "Nico felt something at the end of the game against Derby."
Stephan said: "He did a warm-up to know if he would be available for the second part of the Birmingham game and it didn’t feel very good."
Stephan said: "The medical staff scanned him and the scan showed that he needed to rest – between three and four weeks, probably until the international break."
Stephan said: "It’s a shame because we know he’s an important player for us. But now we have to think about the other options we have."
Other players unavailable
Burrell has already been sidelined for around a month. Lamptey remains unavailable with an ankle problem.
Chair has been ruled out of Saturday’s clash with Swansea City.
Mbengue out for the season
QPR have confirmed that Mbengue is set to miss the rest of the season after suffering an ACL injury.
Better news elsewhere
Richard Kone has been given the all-clear after an injury scare in the defeat at Birmingham. Karamoko Dembele could return to the squad after making his comeback for QPR’s development side following a long-term knee injury.
