Adrien Rabiot is reportedly in talks with AC Milan over a contract extension. For Milan, Rabiot's renewal is also listed as a next agenda item alongside progress on Christian Pulisic's new deal.
State of the talks
Rabiot joined AC Milan from Marseille, and his current contract runs until 30 June 2028. His current salary is reported as around €5 million net per season, and Wednesday's reports say Milan are hoping to keep him on similar terms in a new deal.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the extension is expected to cover a couple of seasons, with the usual option for a further season. GOAL reported that Gerry Cardinale wants to reach an agreement with Rabiot by Christmas.
Details still to settle
GOAL reported that Veronique, who handles Rabiot's interests, still has some details to settle.
Injury and return target
GOAL reported that Rabiot is sidelined with a calf problem. GOAL reported that he hopes to return for Saturday evening's derby against Inter at 20.45.
Milan's wider renewal plans
According to Matteo Moretto and Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan have agreed an extension with Christian Pulisic's entourage, with only the contracts left to sign.
Football Italia said reports earlier in the week said Milan have an agreement in place with Christian Pulisic. Football Italia said Milan are expected to hand Pulisic a new and improved contract until the summer of 2031, and said on Wednesday that he is expected to sign in the near future; after Pulisic's deal is formally wrapped up, a new contract for Rabiot will be the next item on Milan's agenda.
