Reports said Tottenham are relaxed about interest in Pedro Porro from Real Madrid and Barcelona and do not want to sell him in January. The claims came amid suggestions that Porro wants to leave Spurs.
Interest from Spain
TEAMtalk reported on October 15 that Real Madrid and Barcelona were both weighing up moves for Porro.
Football Insider said Porro would “jump” at the opportunity to join either Real Madrid or Barcelona.
Claims over Porro's view
Football Insider recently brought news of Porro losing faith in the project at Spurs.
Football Insider said sources told it that, at this stage of his career, Porro is keen to play at the highest possible level and compete for honours, something he no longer feels is achievable with Spurs.
Football Insider said Porro only penned a new deal with Tottenham in the summer but has quickly lost faith in the project at the club.
Tottenham's position
Football365 said a fresh update from Football Insider and its reporter Pete O’Rourke stated Tottenham are “relaxed” about the mounting interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona in Porro.
Football Insider and Pete O’Rourke said Tottenham have no desire whatsoever to sell Porro in January.
Football365 said there appears to be hope that an uptick in results over the course of the campaign will convince Porro to remain at the club.
Valuation
Football Insider noted that if Porro remains steadfast in his desire to join Real Madrid or Barcelona, Tottenham will slap a “big price tag” on him.
TEAMtalk previously revealed Tottenham value Porro at £75m.
