Bitbase launches 2.0 upgrade and adopts a value-focused brand message

Digital asset trading platform Bitbase said on Nov. 2 that it has officially upgraded to Bitbase 2.0 and introduced a new brand message, "Focus on value through change." The company also rolled out a new logo and visual identity system across its app, official website, and social media accounts on the same day, alongside the debut of its brand IP, "BENIE." According to Bitbase, the move builds on work completed during its 1.0 phase, which covered core platform construction in products, asset listings, compliance registration, and custody-related security support. The platform said its product lineup now spans spot trading, futures, TradFi, and wealth management services for both retail and institutional users. It also said it has completed FinCEN MSB registration in the United States and AUSTRAC DCE registration in Australia, publishes proof of reserves monthly, and uses Fireblocks for custody security support. Chief Business Officer Nicholas Lo said the 1.0 phase centered on providing users with a secure and trustworthy trading environment, while the 2.0 phase will focus on creating long-term value through products and services. Bitbase added that the brand refresh is the first step in the 2.0 rollout, with more updates on product experience and user participation to be released through official channels.

Blockchain analytics firm Elliptic said it has identified what it described as the first instance of Binance hack proceeds moving into Bitcoin mixing. According to the report, the company traced roughly 12,000 wallets across 11 blockchains linked to the case. Elliptic also estimated that the remaining balances still connected to the hack stand at $3.24 billion. The report was published by The Defiant, which cited Elliptic’s findings on the movement of funds and the scale of the wallet tracing effort.

THORChain Remains Uncensored After FBI Mention, as Debate Turns to What Comes Next

Foresight cited a social media post that framed the stretch from Tornado Cash to THORChain as a critical moment for permissionless finance. The post said THORChain has still not turned on censorship measures after being named by the FBI, shifting attention to what may come next for the protocol. With only limited source material available, the report centers on that core point: the regulatory pressure implied by the FBI reference, THORChain’s continued stance against enabling censorship, and the broader question hanging over permissionless financial infrastructure. No additional operational details, enforcement steps, or protocol changes were disclosed in the source text.

Four Pillars says DTCC’s new tokenization service is live, but for now it mainly improves collateral transfers

A new report from Four Pillars argues that the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation’s launch of DTCC Tokenized Securities, or DTS, is a meaningful institutional milestone for blockchain adoption in U.S. capital markets, but its immediate impact is narrower than some market narratives suggest. The service became possible after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission issued a no-action letter to The Depository Trust Company in December last year, allowing a limited tokenization program under strict conditions. Eligible assets are restricted to Russell 1000 stocks, U.S. Treasuries, and ETFs tracking major indexes, while tokenized positions can move only between wallets registered with DTC. The report says DTS does create practical gains. Once securities are tokenized, they can be transferred on a 24/7 basis and moved nearly in real time onchain, which could make collateral mobility more efficient. Smart contracts may also automate selected compliance and distribution-related functions. Even so, the underlying ownership structure, custody setup, official recordkeeping, and broader market relationships remain largely unchanged. DTC still keeps the books, the securities remain registered in the name of Cede & Co., and cash payments such as dividends and interest continue to move through traditional fiat rails. Four Pillars also stresses that DTS is not a delivery-versus-payment system. Under the SEC framework, it operates as a Free of Value service, meaning tokenized securities transfers are not directly tied to cash settlement. Institutions that want DvP transactions would need separate payment infrastructure, such as stablecoins or other forms of digital cash, plus a mechanism to coordinate both legs of the trade.

Elliptic says Binance hacker used about 12,000 wallets to launder funds, with $3.24 billion still sitting in linked addresses

Blockchain analytics firm Elliptic said the Binance hacker moved quickly, using roughly 12,000 wallets across 11 blockchains and more than 40,000 transactions in less than four days in what it described as an apparently automated laundering operation. Of the $6.43 billion in stolen assets, $2.85 billion has been frozen or seized, equal to about 44%, while around $3.24 billion remains in addresses linked to the theft. Elliptic said the remaining balances are mainly in ETH and BTC, and only a very small portion may have been cashed out so far. Tron has emerged as the main route, with funds first split across about 7,700 addresses and then bridged to Ethereum, totaling at least $147 million. Since Nov. 1, ETH, SOL, NEAR and XRP have also started moving. Elliptic added that 233 million XRP was transferred in full to six new addresses on Nov. 2, while 18,270 BTC stolen in the incident was split into 19 addresses on the day of the hack and has not moved since. The firm also identified the first CoinJoin mixing activity tied to the stolen funds.

Kernela launches KRNL TGE for its on-chain autonomous agent infrastructure

Kernela has started the token generation event for KRNL, the native utility token of its network. The project describes itself as on-chain infrastructure for autonomous agents that can operate in real environments using available information and turn resolved market and real-world outcomes into verifiable records. It also says agents on the network can coordinate by sharing data, skills, and information sources, while proven capabilities and verified performance can be reused across the network. On the product side, Kernela says users can create DEX trading agents with one click. Those agents keep funds in self-custody, allow capital controls, and record every execution on-chain for auditability. According to the official description, KRNL is designed for agent deployment and execution, access to data and capabilities, reading and writing result records, settlement between agents, staking and capital routing based on verified performance, and governance of the open protocol.
