Those developments have sharpened a divide inside the math community. More than 3,000 mathematicians signed the Leiden Declaration in June, calling for responsible AI use, verification, and proper citation. Others favor rejecting AI tools and AI companies altogether. At issue is not only whether AI can produce proofs, but whether it can explain the hard parts well enough for the work to become part of mathematical literature.

Study says 63% of sampled religious books on Amazon were likely written by AI

A new report from AI detection firm Originality.ai found that 1,272 of 2,034 recently published religious and belief books sampled on Amazon were likely written by artificial intelligence, putting the overall share at 63%. According to the study, the highest rate appeared in Amazon’s Wicca, Witchcraft & Paganism category, where 78% of sampled titles were flagged, followed by Hinduism at 76% and Taoism at 74%. Report author Michael Fraiman told Decrypt that the company reviewed book descriptions, author bios, and text samples, and classified content scoring 50 or higher as "Likely AI." He stressed that the findings reflect probability rather than proof. The report also sits against a broader debate over AI detection reliability. Decrypt noted that earlier tests of major detectors produced conflicting readings on the U.S. Declaration of Independence, and a Colombian Supreme Court case showed how the same detector could flag both a legal filing and the court’s own ruling as AI-generated. Amazon did not immediately respond to Decrypt’s request for comment.

ARK weekly report tracks Anthropic and OpenAI growth, says Grok 4.6 may push frontier AI costs lower

ARK Invest’s latest weekly market report highlighted three themes spanning artificial intelligence and healthcare diagnostics. First, the firm said AI agents should keep driving growth at Anthropic and OpenAI. Anthropic, which filed a draft S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on June 1 for a potential IPO, had annual recurring revenue of $47 billion as of the end of May, up from about $9 billion at the start of 2026, while TickerTrends estimates current ARR may already be above $74 billion. OpenAI’s ARR was put at roughly $41 billion, about double its level at the start of the year. Combined, the two companies now exceed $115 billion in ARR, according to the report. Third, the report said minimal residual disease testing continues to show clinical utility and scale, with Natera’s Signatera accounting for about 87% of the solid-tumor MRD market by ARK’s cited figures.
