MakerDAO Unveils Endgame Roadmap for Rebrand and Stablecoin Overhaul
MakerDAO has published the timeline for its Endgame roadmap on the governance forum, outlining a broader rebranding effort and a structural overhaul of its stablecoin framework. The plan includes changes to the token mechanics of MKR and DAI, signaling a deeper redesign across governance, branding, and protocol architecture rather than a cosmetic update alone. According to the report, the objective is to simplify MakerDAO’s governance structure and improve scalability as the protocol faces growing demands around managing real-world asset exposure. Because DAI remains one of the most important decentralized stablecoins in DeFi, the transition will also test market and user acceptance. Its outcome could affect DAI’s ability to compete in a stablecoin market still dominated by USDT and USDC.
