Crypto and tech roundup: Binance margin delistings, Strategy BTC buy, Solana fees hit record

A heavy news cycle from Aug. 31 to Sept. 1 brought fresh movement across exchanges, crypto treasuries, regulation, tokenization, AI products and on-chain markets. Binance said it will remove 12 cross and isolated margin pairs on Sept. 3 after suspending borrowing on some isolated pairs on Sept. 1, with auto-liquidation, order cancellation and delisting to follow. Strategy disclosed it bought 4,603 BTC for $369.7 million, while BitMine reported another week of ETH accumulation and later bought 51,000 more ETH from FalconX and BitGo. In Europe, the European Commission designated ChatGPT as a very large online search engine and classified Reddit and Roblox as very large online platforms under the Digital Services Act, triggering stricter compliance obligations. Elsewhere, ICE said it is working with tZERO on tokenized securities infrastructure, Telegram began rolling out Gram Wallet to a subset of users ahead of a wider launch to more than 1 billion users, and Solana posted record fee and governance participation data. The period also included large wallet transfers, SEC policy moves, Hyperliquid’s reported U.S. market discussions, AI-related fundraising and product launches, and a series of macro comments spanning bonds, gold and rate expectations.

Robinhood Chain value map: HOOD, PONS, UNI and tokenized stocks split the upside

Robinhood Chain has put up numbers that most standalone chains would struggle to reach in a year: more than $1 billion in TVL within two months, daily DEX volume nearing $1 billion, and stablecoin supply close to $770 million. Yet investors looking to buy direct exposure to the network run into a structural twist: there is no native Robinhood Chain token. Gas is paid in ETH, which means value does not automatically concentrate in one asset. TechFlowPost breaks that exposure into eight layers, from Robinhood’s listed equity and Ethereum’s settlement role to launchpads, meme tokens, Uniswap governance, DeFi infrastructure, tokenized stocks and LP positions. The piece argues that some of the most explosive names in the ecosystem, including PONS, CASHCAT and AI, are better viewed as wealth-effect trades driven by attention and liquidity. By contrast, HOOD, UNI and liquidity positions sit closer to actual fee capture, even if each comes with a different transmission path and different limits. The report’s broader point is that Robinhood Chain is producing two markets at once: speculative assets with sharp upside and infrastructure assets tied to trading activity. Which side matters more will depend on whether activity moves beyond meme trading and whether protocol fees keep compounding after the first speculative wave fades.

Artificial Inu, a Robinhood stock-meme token, tops $150 million market cap

Artificial Inu (AI), a stock-meme token on Robinhood, has pushed its market capitalization above $150 million and set a record high, according to GMGN market data cited by BlockBeats on Sept. 1. The token was quoted at $154 million in market cap, with gains of more than 60% over the past 24 hours and $19.7 million in 24-hour trading volume. BlockBeats described the broader "Stock Meme" format as a newer structure that directly pairs meme tokens with tokenized U.S. equities onchain, instead of using USDT or ETH as the base pair. Examples mentioned in the report include NVDA and TSLA. In that setup, the speculative and community-driven nature of meme coins remains, while the tokens also draw on the narrative strength and attention surrounding real-world stocks. The report added that part of the trading fees in these markets often flows back to community treasuries to accumulate the corresponding stock tokens, creating what it called a dual driver of sentiment trading and real-asset anchoring. Artificial Inu itself combines Shiba Inu, AI, and NVIDIA-related themes, and has a pairing mechanism tied to tokenized NVDA. BlockBeats also warned that such tokens can see sharp price swings and said investors should be cautious.

September seasonality looms as calm trading masks a potential turn in U.S. stocks

U.S. stocks managed to hold onto their upward trend through August, but the market may be nearing a more fragile point than the headline indexes suggest. According to Odaily, the S&P 500 broke above the 7,800 mark to set a record high two weeks ago and is still trading within 2% of that peak, even as volume has thinned and the index’s trading range has narrowed. Analysts cited in the report warned that investors should not mistake that calm for stability. Rising U.S. Treasury yields and a growing valuation split around Nvidia are adding pressure at a time when the benchmark appears to be stalling at elevated levels. Veteran market commentator Michael Santoli said the more important issue is that several key market indicators are now in a “tight” state, and that the market’s character could change sharply if those thresholds are breached. The report also noted that September has historically been the weakest month for U.S. equities, though seasonality could behave differently in the 2026 election year after a strong run earlier in the market.

Robinhood Chain’s surge is being driven by memes and trading tools, not stock-token holders

Robinhood Chain has been pitched around tokenized equities, but its first real burst of on-chain activity has come from somewhere else. Early traction on the network is being driven largely by meme launches, short-term trading, launchpads, bots and trading terminals rather than long-term investors accumulating tokenized versions of NVIDIA or Apple. According to DefiLlama data cited in the source article, Robinhood Chain had about $720 million in DeFi total value locked as of Aug. 31, 2026, stablecoins worth roughly $775 million on-chain, and rolling 24-hour DEX volume near $1.32 billion, a figure already above TVL. Pons has emerged as the dominant launchpad after Noxa stopped operating, while GMGN and FOMO together accounted for about 71.2% of trading-terminal volume based on Dune data referenced in the report. The article argues that Robinhood Chain’s more distinctive experiments lie in connecting memes to stock tokens, turning NFTs into programmable financial wrappers, and building infrastructure for agent-based trading and payments. At the same time, the report says much of the activity still carries signs of early sentiment premium, while lasting demand for holding, lending, payments and on-chain asset management tied to stock tokens remains unproven.

Samsung said to be working with Nvidia on 8-layer HBM4E

Samsung Electronics is working with Nvidia on an 8-layer version of seventh-generation high bandwidth memory, or HBM4E, according to Korean media cited by ChainCatcher. The reported design departs from Samsung’s earlier 12-layer and 16-layer plans by cutting stack height. Nvidia is said to have requested a speed target of 17-18Gbps, compared with 14.4Gbps for Samsung’s early HBM4E samples, a gap of roughly 20%. The product is reportedly intended for use in NVHBM. The report did not provide additional details beyond the development target, speed specification, and intended application.
